Bluegill Pottery Bluebird Mug

These mugs feature two bluebirds, one on each side, for viewing by both lefties and righties. The bluebirds are surrounded by branches and leaves and have little flower sprigs for an added three dimensional effect. Fluted bottoms and branch textured handles accent each piece. A whimsical way to start the day and especially popular with the bird loving public. All the work is individually handmade, so each piece will be unique. Glazes are food safe and microwave and dishwasher safe.

Establishing Bluegill Pottery in 1997, Vicki Liles Gill continues to work in a fine white stoneware clay. This clay allows her texture techniques and translucent glazes to be highlighted. Firing takes place in an oxidation atmosphere which empowers both subtle and brilliant colors to work as a whole in the composition. Handcrafted in North Carolina.
